Good Faith Estimate

Your Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to provide individuals who do not have insurance or who choose not to use their insurance with a Good Faith Estimate of expected health care costs.

At Rosemeade Counseling, I believe in being transparent about the cost of therapy so you can make informed decisions about your care.

What Is a Good Faith Estimate?

A Good Faith Estimate (GFE) outlines the expected costs of your therapy services before treatment begins. It includes the anticipated fees for services you may receive based on the information available at the time the estimate is provided.

Because every person's therapeutic journey is unique, the actual number of sessions and total cost may change depending on your individual needs, goals, and treatment progress.

Who Receives a Good Faith Estimate?

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate if you:

Are paying for therapy yourself (private pay)

Do not have health insurance

Choose not to use your health insurance benefits

You may request a Good Faith Estimate at any time before or during treatment.

Current Fees

As of July 2026, the standard fee for a 45–50 minute psychotherapy session is $150.

Other services, such as consultation, letters, record requests, or extended appointments, may have different fees. Any applicable fees will be discussed with you in advance.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Receive a Good Faith Estimate before services begin.

Ask questions about your expected costs.

Request an updated estimate if your treatment plan changes.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.

Additional information is available through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
