Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? You're not alone. Below are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about therapy at Rosemeade Counseling. If you don't see what you're looking for, feel free to schedule a complimentary consultation or reach out by email at kasey@rosemeadecounseling.com.
-
The relationship between you and your therapist is one of the biggest predictors of successful therapy. If you're unsure, a complimentary consultation is a great place to start. If I don't believe I'm the best fit for your needs, I'll gladly help connect you with someone who may be.
-
I typically recommend starting with weekly sessions. This helps us build momentum, establish trust, and get to the root of things faster. Once you feel stable and have the tools you need, we can transition to bi-weekly or monthly "maintenance" sessions. We will decide on your frequency together.
-
Therapy isn't about never feeling anxious, stressed, or overwhelmed again, it's about responding to life's challenges differently. You may notice you're setting healthier boundaries, feeling more confident, reacting less intensely, communicating more effectively, or finding it easier to navigate situations that once felt overwhelming. Sometimes the people closest to you notice the changes before you do.
-
There's no one-size-fits-all answer. The length of therapy depends on your goals, what you're working through, and how often we meet. Some clients come for a few months to work through a specific challenge, while others choose to stay much longer for continued growth and support. We'll regularly check in on your progress and adjust our work as your needs evolve.
-
Everyone's journey is different, but many clients begin noticing small shifts within the first few sessions. Lasting change takes time, consistency, and practice, but you don't have to wait until therapy is "finished" to start feeling better. Progress often happens gradually, with meaningful changes building over time.
-
Those are often the most powerful sessions. When we aren't putting out immediate fires, we have the space to go deeper into underlying patterns, dreams, and subtle shifts. You don't need to bring a crisis to the room to do good work. Just bring yourself.
-
I offer both. I have a physical office on the north-side of Indianapolis for those who prefer face-to-face connection, but I also offer secure video sessions for anyone located in Indiana. Many of my clients choose a hybrid approach, coming in when they can, and doing virtual sessions when life gets busy.

No, Rosemeade Counseling is a private-pay practice and is not in-network with insurance companies. This allows me to provide more personalized care without restrictions from insurance requirements. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, I'm happy to provide a superbill that you can submit for possible reimbursement.

Yes! Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) can typically be used to pay for therapy services.
-
Your session time is reserved exclusively for you. I require 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancelations made with less than 48 hours notice will be charged the full session fee, as I am unable to fill that spot at the last minute. Each client receives one waived late cancelation.
-
I offer a range of session lengths to ensure your needs are being met. Standard 45-50 minute session are $150, 25-minute mini sessions are $80, and 80-minute intensives are $240.
